- ROOTS, a notebook of information compiled by Delores Sheard and donated to the library in 2004. City history, news clippings, school records, biographies, interviews. Includes information on pea growers/harvests, Hodakas, St. Nichols Hotel, Caledonian Games, Christian Church, one-room school houses. Family names/bios/refs include: Gholson, Gerking, Taylor, Watts, Johnson, Mansfield, Koepke, Elsing, Vaugn, Alderman, Gordon, Barrett, Geissel, Dugger, Cannon, Coppock, Duncan, Tillman, Keen, Gross, Fallon.
- Scrapbooks (2), not chronologically arranged, compiled by Nellie Bush Crigler (1887-1964) of Athena and Milton-Freewater. Given to Granville Cannon and then to Athena Library in 1985. Newspaper clippings and mementoes of local and regional events and people, most undated with no source given.
- Photos, miscellaneous. Includes Athena Main Street looking west (undated); a Watts photo of Athena in 1893 from west end; grain elevators (Northern Pacific and Hamilton-Rourke) and horse drawn wagons with loads of wheat (undated).
