As you may be aware, UNICOM was a subsidiary of Eschelon Telecom. On August 31, 2007 Eschelon was acquired by Integra Telecom, thereby making UNICOM an Integra Telecom Company.

Q. What does this acquisition mean for current UNICOM and Integra customers?
A. The transaction will offer customers of both companies increased product offerings and a heightened local customer service experience. Integra is confident that customers will be completely satisfied with our expanded services, particularly in the area of high-bandwidth products that rely on Integra's world-class, proprietary network, and that they will enjoy Integra's leading customer service.

Integra has a history of increasing customer satisfaction as the company grows. Our practice of integrating common operating systems and staffing local customer care professionals, allows us to manage our growth while improving our level of service for our customers.

Q. What is the purpose of this acquisition?
A. The Eschelon acquisition, including UNICOM as a subsidiary, will create a stronger, better positioned company that will benefit customers, employees and shareholders. With the acquisition of Eschelon, Integra will become the leading provider of voice and data services exclusively for business in the markets we serve with an impressive average 20 percent market share. Additionally, Integra will be the largest competitive carrier in the West and the most profitable carrier in the country. As a result of the acquisition, UNICOM customers can select from Integra's high bandwidth Internet and data services.

Q. Will OneEighty customers' service or contract terms change?
A. No. Integra is committed to make this transition as seamless as possible. There will be no interruption of services and no change to contract pricing or terms as a result of this transaction. Integra leads the business telecommunications industry in customer loyalty and overall customer satisfaction. Q. Where do customers call for questions about their service or invoice?

Q. Will the company have a new name?
A. Yes. In the coming months the UNICOM brand will be phased out as we begin to implement the Integra brand on materials such as customer invoices, user guides and our Web site.

Q. Where will the combined company be headquartered?
A. The company will be headquartered in Portland, Ore., where Integra Telecom is headquartered today.

Q. How does this affect Integra's financial position?
A. Based on the profitability we expect of the combined company, Integra expects to be more profitable than it has in recent years. As an endorsement of Integra's fiscal health and future prospect for growth, Warburg Pincus, a blue chip private equity firm, recently chose to take a substantial minority stake in Integra with a $245 million investment of equity in the company.
